NEW TRAMS
A new chassis has been built for each tram with a new emergency braking system. The original tops have been reinstalled and the original seats have been stripped of their layers of paint, varnished and are ready to be fixed in place.
We are hoping to re-open late June 2011 and we need VOLUNTEERS to join our rota at times suitable to them – 4 or 5 hours slots at weekends and Bank Holidays and similarly on weekdays to carry out maintenance work.
Can you help:-
- Drive and operate the TRAM
- Staff the BOTTOM STATION
- Staff the SHOP
- Maintain and renew the fabric of the buildings
- Check, maintain and refurbish the mechanical and electrical installations
