After our morning service at BMC on 6th May there will be Christian Aid quiz sheets on the tables in Wesleys. The cost is £1 to enter and your entries and fees can be placed in the envelopes provided also on the tables and I will send them off to Christian Aid. The prizes are Fairtrade Goody Bags.
For those who never receive a CA envelope through the door there will be a number out on the tables in Wesleys on the same morning for you to use. They can then be handed to me or one of the stewards.
The Christian Aid service this year is at St Johns’ Church at 6pm on Sunday 6th May. Please would all collectors make every effort to attend and pick up their bag of materials? Refreshments will be provided after the service in the church hall.
We will be at the front of church after the morning service on Sunday May 19 to receive your collection bags.
Thank you to all of you who have been stalwart supporters of Christian Aid over the past years and have decided that the time has now come to hang up your collecting boots. For those who are continuing or are newcomers to this valuable and rewarding work your efforts are much appreciated.
Prayer for Christian Aid Week
For laughter where there were tears;
For resilient communities more able to withstand disasters;
For voices speaking out against injustice,
which wer previously silenced;
For feasting where there was hunger;
For all the ways that Christian Aid is helping
to transform communities,
enabling out sisters and brothers to live fuller lives;
